Since I have been almost laser focused on building on Hive, I have not been writing or commenting on the political circus very much. That said, it is not because I lack opinions. It is more because I am watching them strangle each other, and I happen to have some popcorn in the microwave ready.
I am surprised people are surprised. Most of these alliances were doomed from the start. Like the man who raised a hippo only to be dragged underwater, every grifter who hitched his wagon to MAGA is now watching his world come apart.
Today a video came up on my feed and I learned that Marjorie Taylor Greene, yes, the Jewish space laser lady, is now attacking Trump and stepping down. Imagine my shock at seeing exactly what I knew would come one day. As the saying goes, eventually the knives get turned on you.
What I did not expect to see, at least not this soon, is Alex Jones, the screaming angry boiled egg, jumping off the Trump train. I am sure Trump will take that with a smile and be gracious about it. I am sure he will not post on social media about how Alex Jones is also a traitor or give him a silly nickname like he did with Marjorie.
Now, I am not going to sit here and tell you this makes me happy. Unlike the people on the left who seem full of glee because this presidency is self destructing, I am more focused on the consequences. I care about what is actually happening on the ground.
The gaslighting has never been this depraved or this bold, and I do not care how many times they say the country is doing well. Prices are down, they say, while groceries are through the roof for the average person. But how would Trump know? He only learned the word groceries a couple of months ago. I think that sums it all up.
Anyway, my friends, I will not ramble more about this. I want to focus on what we are building, on the things I can actually control. But biting my tongue forever is not doable for yours truly.
