Something you want to add about your Steemit Life: Will be on Steemit 1 yr in Oct. Seems like longer. Guess its been from all the changes in the last 11 months. I don't post very often. Have learned alot about crypto. Poker players on SPL are a great group. Really enjoy playing there.
Where are you from: Oak Ridge, TN, USA
Memorable hands or things to mention about your table: I don't really remember the individual hands. Like everyone else do get bad beats. Its just part of the game. Wish I knew more about the RNG code. With a live game you see the cards shuffled and passed out. You feel fairly certain its a random distribution. On line alot of trust is assumed that all is random. A 3rd party might be called in to validate and certify the code is good at randomly distriubting the cards. All I really see is the results and how often they are aligning with the odds. The situation I notice most is dominating hand that are beat. Its supposed to be a 4:1 distribution in favor of the dominate. The occurance of dominated winning seems to happen more often then the math would predict. But I don't have a 100k hand history to know the averages. A sample size of one session of play is no good to measure randomness of cards distributed.
What place did you finish: I think I finished 3 but after we got to the final 6 and had won our seat we just kept going AI to be done.
Why do you want to go to SF?: I have never won a nice trip like the one offered for SF. I think the travel would be great. Taking part in the activities will be fun. Leaning more about the folks that have great influence in the network. The platform seems to have hit a low. Would be nice to hear about plans to make it better. I think its just the current state of crypto trading that has things down. So many posts I read say that this stagnet time in crypto is normal. Just hodl and believe that better times will be coming back again.: @potplucker

Steemit Life: Started in December of 2017. Curator for Buildawhale, dedicated to the SPL.
Where are you from: Originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, now live in Normal, Illinois U.S.
Things to mention about table: Very tough competition with everyone fighting to make the top six spots. I got pocket kings and aces which helped me stay alive. I finished first after I barely squeezed into the top 6 to make the final table. SF: I'd love to go to learn, network, and share my experiences. @michaelluchies

Something you want to add about your Steemit Life: witness (ro-witness), involved in different communities (eg romania, german)
Where are you from: Romania- Germany now
Memorable hands or things to mention about your table: on this tournament I had a 33 with short stack (due to a donk that killed a trips with nothing and got caught on turn and river) with the same donk raising from SB (like everytime) I pushed he called with nothing. This hand kept me in the game.
What place did you finish: I think 5 as we agreed to go ai when ITM was achieved.
Why do you want to go to SF?: to play life poker and drink tequilla with Eric :P, I wanted to go last year, but decided to use the funds to power up. I want to go to feel how Steem Inc is moving, to meet the persons behind the accounts, as I try to attend a lot of meetups when I travel. @alexvan

Why do you want to go to SF?: I already visited Steemfest 1 & 2 and it was awesome. This time I want to come with more friends and this is why I played in this tournament to donate the ticket if I would win. @future24 Im on Steemit since 2016 and love this unique platform. One of my projects is the #monthlyauthorchallenge, initiated in November 2017. @hoodish ruled the game and in the middle of the game I thought that I will be kicked out soon and then I made some risk moves. Fortunely they were succesful and I became the second place.

About your Steemit Life: Fresh meat...
Where are you from: Aussie family of 7 living in Cambodia for the last 6years.
Memorable hands: I don't honestly remember. It was a good game and for a good portion of it, I guess you could say... The cards just seemed to fall in my favour.
What place did you finish: once we got to the final 6 and were all guaranteed tickets we went all in, I kept loosing and finished in 3rd or 4th from top spot lol... But it was all fun and games after we all got the golden ticket to the final tournament.
Why do you want to go to SF?: I've only been involved with steemit since Feb. It would be a great opportunity to connect with other steamians in person and learn from those who know best! @philippekiene

Why do you want to go to SF?: I don't want to go - just want to win to deny others the chance to go :D @celsius100
It's upsetting when your passport has limited visa-free access to travel abroad! ;'(
Congratulations guys! Am sure you're all going to have a great time!
LOL @celsius100!
Voted @blocktrades and ocd-witness for witness. Thank you guys for helping the steemit community. More power!
Thanks for the witness votes and yeah I can relate with the payout thing, I actually need a visa for EVERY Asian country :(
Hopefully next steem fest will be in a visa free country for you! Where are you from?
My pleasure!
I'm from the Philippines. I can travel anywhere in Asia without a visa but to visit Europe and some other countries they require a visa and it's not easy to get one.
That would great, maybe the next steemfest could be in Asia? Plus it's cheaper to travel to a lot of Asian countries. ;)
hobish ?Hi @anomadsoul, I'm @checky ! While checking the mentions made in this post I noticed that @hoodish doesn't exist on Steem. Did you mean to write @
