Q: Can you introduce yourself to the community? What is your background and how did the team build your project?

Sure. My name is Tim and I am the Head of Communications at Yesports. Started my career in a global commodities conglomerate dealing with regional corporate affairs, before moving on to doing agency work for B2B tech clients, including adtech, martech, cybersecurity, SaaS and eventually found a niche in the fintech/blockchain vertical and ran the department dealing with those clients.

I set up my own PR agency in 2017 based out of Singapore, providing PR services to clients in the blockchain space, which included the world’s first digital asset bank, a P2P energy marketplace, decentralised private equity fund, a cryptography research centre amongst others. I now lead communications for Yesports and Yieldly (the first DeFi suite on Algorand).

I first discovered blockchain in late 2013 / early 2014 and took part in the Ethereum crowdsale. Have not looked back since and have been deeply involved in helping build projects in the space, including with Yesports CEO Sebastian.

Q: Can you briefly describe what your project is to us?

Great question. I think in general with every new innovation, there will inevitable be a lot of noise. But here's how i think we have a very good shot at success.

Firstly, we have already signed and announced 6 global esports teams to our platform (with more coming), including a couple of the largest globally — and can consider ourselves the largest esports-focused web 3.0 platform in the world. We have also closed a deal with a player management agency and will be making that announcement in the coming weeks. This means that we hit the ground running with teams launching NFTs on Yesports the moment it is launched. Our oversubscribed seed round with over 20+ VC partners really goes to show the traction and support for what we are building here.

A major differentiator for us also is our partnership with Polygon Studios. Partnering with them means we have the potential to collaborate on a huge pipeline of top tier esports, NFT/P2E games, and other leading businesses that are contacting the Polygon Studios team to assess how they can deliver Web3 for esports, gaming and their respective ecosystems.

Another unique aspect to Yesports is the concept and design surrounding our long term Metaverse vision. We are conceptualising an esports-focused Metaverse where teams can build their home stadiums. Fans will participate in this by building within the digital village landscape. As to what they might build we can expect venues such as club houses, training grounds, betting dens and storefronts among other things to create an fully immersive esports experience within a metaverse.

The other piece of our puzzle is a concerted diversity and inclusion effort. Women currently make up 35% of the total player base but only 5% of the professional player base. It’s not just in the player base where we can see widespread underrepresentation, but also across decision makers, participants and management. We are constantly looking to partner with teams of underrepresented and diverse demographics and are committed to helping them gain exposure in the industry. At Yesports, we will provide not just exposure, but also a multitude of opportunities for underrepresented demographics to enter the Web 3.0 space.

So when you look at the support from teams, support from VC and coupled with the vast expertise our team has in crypto and esports — it becomes clear why our partners and teams are excited to be taking this journey with us.

Q: Can you briefly describe your Partnerships and Backers so far?

The Yesports product has really been a result of deep partnerships and relationships with key partners and esports teams — we have been in this space for a while which means we have been able to develop some truly powerful partnerships.

Our VC partner network is also vast and the list of top tier partners is notable. Some of you might find these names familiar. Spartan Group, MEXC, KOSMOS, YBB, Mozaik Capital, Zipmex, NGC Ventures, Kernel Ventures, GTA Ventures, IBMR, Tess Ventures and BR Capital. Most recently we've also added Rising Capital and DAOvergence to this list. We've got about 20+ partners in this regard.

Q: Can you share with us what are your further plans for your project?

Of course, we have also the backing of Polygon Studios. We also have a number of growth partners including the PlayPad team over here (shoutout to your team for the great support), but also CeloLaunch Labs and Launchpool.

Additionally we are very proud to have industry-leading esports teams joining us from day 1, as said above. So far, we've announced a number of these teams and they are

plus many more to come. These teams are on board to be the first to launch team NFTs on our platform — making Yesports the biggest esports NFT marketplace on the planet (home now to millions of fans). We have a few more teams/players that are joining us and we will be announcing them in the coming weeks so be sure to follow us on our socials to stay updated!

Right now, we have numerous Web3 innovations that we plan to develop and release:

We take building products as the priority. Our dev team is working hard to deliver MVP1 within the next month. In addition to that, as mentioned earlier — we’ve closed an oversubscribed 2.25M pre-seed round for Yesports, letting us:

• Scale independent developer team.
• Work with an incredible partner network to grow funding to help us develop and create this esports web3 vision.

With the tech product under development we also have been spending a lot of time making sure our product is fit for purpose. So we have been locking in partners and teams — of which — as mentioned — we have ~6 global teams signed and more to come.

We will continue to lock in world class partners — of which we have ~10 global leading partners who are incredibly excited to be a part of this. In fact, we have just gotten a new advisor on board and he will be giving his input on our metaverse build and product. He is the managing partner at one of our VC partners with extensive expertise in this respect.

There will also be a staking function post-TGE and we also have an IDO with you guys lined up, of course. We also have a number of leading high growth CEXs that are roaring to launch our token day 1.

So on the launchside, there is a lot of momentum there to get the token out and usable by as many of the esports and crypto community as possible. We will be making some serious announcements over the coming weeks — so be sure to follow us on Twitter / Telegram.

I think we have the team, means and momentum to accomplish a lot of big goals this year.
