Looks like a good day out and the weather held in spite of that ominous looking sky. That's a fair whack for entrance and parking, although I guess people are trying to recover from the effect of the pandemic and there was plenty to see and do. I love the idea of Sunday lunch in a Yorkshire wrap, so sensible!
I didn't know you were from Rawtenstall: I spent a bit of time around Woolfold. I loved it there.
It was spitting a bit, but was warm enough not to matter.
It was good to get out and spend some quality time with my Wife, the food we had was good, what more could you want.
I've never heard of Wool Fold, so just looked it up on the map, it's not far from Ramsbottom, so it's quite possible I have driven through it and not realised.
I used to work in Bolton and take the A roads to get there and we used to cycle to Dave's Aquarium in Bolton as kids, just for the fun of it.
It really is a small world.
It is more or less a road, so you may not have even realised 🙂.
I loved the countryside around there.
Yes, the scenery is fantastic, there's an old wood near Edenfield where we used to go searching for Owl pellets (sound disgusting now) as kids, but we were curious then.
