Virtually every picture published by the Kampala Express of Entebbe International Airport or aircraft landing and taking off from the said airport, receives a high number of views.
This picture was no exception.
It was of Ethiopian Airlines flight ET 334 caught on camera exactly at 6:30 p.m. as it took off from Entebbe International Airport, Entebbe, Uganda, Sunday Oct. 22, 2017.
The Boeing 737-700 plane here is about 400 metres above the ground over the southern tip of the runway near Kigungu village, with the setting sun to its right.
The camera at first struggled to lock the auto-focus onto the plane because of the great speed at which it was flying, which kept taking it out if focus.
ET 334 was on a direct return flight to Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia about 1,218 kilometres away.
Cruising at a speed of 667 kilometres per hour, it would land in Addis Ababa just under two hours later.
