Perth looks beautiful, but I'm interested in what's being mined a bit inland, opal! It would be fantastic to make it down there some time to go dig in the boulder opal fields. Of course, spending a day or two detecting in the outback has to be in the cards too. There's still gold to be found!
We have a Coolgardie here in Cali too. It has alluvial deposits and people still find gold out there. BTW, were there any major silver strikes down there?
Thanks for the post and the nice pictures of Perth.
Thanks for your reply, if your looking for opal you have to go to a different state my friend, nothing in WA. If you want opals you have to go to South Australia which is about 1200 miles to the east at a place call Coober Pedy, that's were you find white opals. If you are looking for gold then Western Australia is the place to be my friend. Cheers
