The ideal sunset to catch the home bound flock of Sacred Ibis birds on their run!
This is normally the time that they come over very high!
And here they are flying in formation as usual.

This was the best that I could do in the low light to show you the sun's reflections on their wings!
We hope you have enjoyed the pictures and thank you for visiting a post by @papilloncharity
Oh wow, this is absolutely gorgeous @papilloncharity! Thank you for sharing the birds of the valley with us!
Thank you Lady Lizelle and it seems that I have managed to get an idea about the time that they go home! Blessings!
Love the beautiful formation of the birds.

Such fabulous shots of the wonder of nature
Thank you my friend and mother nature certainly holds many treasures! Blessings!
That it surely does :)
Fascinating bird, quiet arrival and quietly leaves at the end of each day. Move up into the dams and ponds higher in the mountains return to low-land to sleep over.
Sacred Ibis fascinate me the way they are on the move every day, you are almost able to set the clock by their timing Stephen.
Thanks for gorgeous photography at the end of day, always watch them when up in the Drakensberg not a bird we see on the coast, notice them more in the mountains.
Yes indeed, they are very fond of the mountains Lady Joan and we used to feed some on the verandah of a cottage in the Drakensberg. Glad to see that you also know them and their ways. You are of course also correct about their timing sense! Blessings!

I love golden hour and you click it in your camera beautifully..
Sunset is one of my favorite times my friend! Thank you and blessings to you!
