I love my getaways to different and distant places, which I get to take whenever I am able to apply for leave from work. And these short yet much-needed trips allow me to take a break from the monotonous and routine lifestyle we usually tend to follow when we're working full-time, and refresh it a bit by filling it up with some sort of adventurous activities and adding some exciting travel tales. However, not all travels have to be adrenaline-inducing and fast-paced, and as much as I like filling up my trips with lots of activities, it's also interesting to travel to quiet, serene places and just relax and rejuvenate in the silence of nature. One such place has to be Kerala, often and rightly called "God's own country" for it's scenic beauty. How can one resist enjoying and taking in the splendor of its misty mountains and lush greenery, as seen in the below pictures.
There are a lot of wonderful water bodies and pretty waterfalls to be admired too!
And of course, one cannot visit Kerala without enjoying its famous boat rides, cruising along the rivers at a leisurely pace while enjoying the beauty found all around.
I find nature to be very charming, and it certainly is very appealing and has a calming affect, and I often find myself gazing at the wilderness of Kerala whenever I'm visiting, admiring and appreciating the beauty that surrounds us.
Hope you enjoyed seeing a glimpse of this magnificent place!

Beautiful collection of pictures @jnsamuel, I like the juicy green forest and a fog rising up. It looks like when everything is so fresh and breathing and you can see that air. Probably waterfalls also contribute to those misty scene. Lovely boat trip, beautiful scenery. Only what you did not mention is the food. I believe it was delicious. May be next time you can add some delicious pictures of traditional food to make us jealous :)
thank you :) yes, it's hard to find such greenery in cities so going to places where nature is thriving is always a refreshing change! and i usually eat the food before i take photos, i will present more food photos in future!!
