This is probably one of the plates I like the most in my collection. It was made in 2017 using a technique called wet plate collodion, which was invented in 1851. Basically it consists in a piece of glass made sensible to light with the use of chemistry and silver salts.
The original glass plate is 50cm x 55cm and is a one-of-a-kind art piece, impossible to reproduce. It was made in clear glass, backed in black and the image is protected with Shellac varnish against all elements and UV light. If all goes well this piece can live for at least 170 years. (historically proved)

The camera I used to make this image is a british Hunter & Penrose. It has 80Kg weight and 1,80m lenght.
