Good day dear Hive community, I hope you enjoyed your day and can add one or the other positive experience to your life! Earlier I discovered a new plant that has grown wild near me and would like to present it to you.
You can see here a rather unknown wild herb with the common name Yellow rocketcress and scientifically it is also called Barbarea vulgaris. It is a biennial plant that is also resistant to frost and generally does not place great demands on the location. Originally it comes from Eurasia and can now be found throughout Europe and the period of flowering is between May and July.
From an ecological point of view, it is very valuable and offers insects of all kinds of pollen and nectar. It thrives optimally in a sunny or semi-shaded place and can grow up to 70 cm high, it is also able to spread itself. Even if the plant is relatively easy to care for, it prefers nitrogenous soils in the best case and wild it is usually found on roadsides, fields or near waters.
Barbarea vulgaris is a plant that also can be used in many ways from a medical point of view. The taste is somewhat reminiscent of cress and you can use it well as an additive for salads. It can generally have a positive effect on the metabolism and also has a blood-purifying effect and can be used well due to the high vitamin C content against viruses and for stabilization of the immune system. As always, it is important to ask your doctor about the right dosage and possible side effects!
Many thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my new post! I used my camera Sony Alpha 6000 and Sony SEL-55210 Telephoto Zoom Lens (55-210mm) to take these pictures.
I wish you a happy weekendHi @elevator09 ,well this is not poisonous hahaha, it's a joke I hope it doesn't bother you, it looks excellent and the plus of being used in medicine makes it more important, some people use plants more than conventional medicine and I think it would be ideal, contraindications with plants are minimal.
Thanks for your friendly comment and I’m glad you visited my post! I wish you the same! Stay well dear @lupega
