We came across a sign for World of Birds while on our way to Groot Constantia. We decided to take the detour and were pleasantly surprised. The previous year we had traveled the same route and missed this gem altogether. The World of Birds is home monkeys, birds and several other species.

While I prefer to see animals in nature, I must say that I very much enjoyed the detour.

Thank you for visiting.

Great shots!

Nice to meet another photographer, I am following you now ^_^

Thank you! What are your favorite things to shoot?

naturephotographing, just look at my page, it's more or less obviously ^_^

I am ashamed to say I live in Cape Town and I am an avid birder, but have never been to world of birds. dropping head in shame

I really enjoyed the visit. I was in Cape Town in February.

We have traveled the Cape the past 2 years early part of the year. We wanted to visit the wolf sanctuary, but we didn't get a chance to. At least this year I was able to experience Addo Elephant Park. Last year we visited and didn't see a single elephant! That post will come over the weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you. I used a Canon EOS REBEL T5

Erm... is no.3 a bird?

Of course not. It is a monkey. The World of Birds is home to several types of animals.
