I very nice wedding Saturday in Branson, MO. The groom is the son of one of my best friends so this one was special to us. Branson is located in southwest Missouri in the Ozark mountains. Known as a little version of Nashville, its the scene for many tourists and has become a destination location for weddings and events.
Nestled in the trees is this beautiful venue named Stonegate Glass Chapel. It's probably pretty obvious from the photo from where the name comes :) With an onsite location for getting ready, a separate building for reception, and of course this gorgeous ceremony chapel, it's a very nice location to have a wedding.
There was a bit of rain mid day which then moved out, but Carley and Caleb were up for anything when it came to portrait time. We always keep a couple of clear umbrellas handy for these types of instances and really, rain photos often are some of my favorite.
Dad looking on while the couple have a moment alone to exchange their private vows.
A big wedding party for this one and a cool cocktail hour coffee bar was outside for folks to enjoy.
All in all it was a great night with the groom getting tossed up in the air during dance time! Fun wedding in a cool location. Next weekend...we do it all again. Fall wedding season is in full swing so we will be rockin' it until New Years.
Fall weddings are the best. That's when mine was and although it is always a crap shoot for the weather here in Michigan, we had a perfect day for it.
We got lucky this weekend that it only reached about 90 in temp and was overcast. The trees helped as well :)
That's good. We are getting a bit of a hot spell here right now. I can't remember the temp when we got married in October, but it was sunny and cool and just great for the little chapel that we said our vows in.
