I will be doing these kinds of more relaxing posts from time to timeHi! I will be answering 3 quick philosophical questions that I get from here: https://parade.com/1185047/marynliles/philosophical-questions/
1. Is living life to the fullest possible?
Depends on everyone’s definition of “fullest”, but by my observation, the answer tends to be “no”, because people always want more and more even after defying their definition of fullest. They will never have enough from life and that makes them, most of the time, greedy for more which never ends. You can alter and stop that cycle by having healthy boundaries but then you will be “limiting” your life which is not how you live life to the fullest. If you want success you need to limit your life so you get rid of most of the negative influences, if you want a life to the fullest – you need to embrace everything and try everything. So it is up to you.
2. Why do we strive for perfection if it is not attainable?
It is the inherent natural goal in all of us to be better and do more than everyone. So we set for higher and higher results, always wanting to hit that gold spot. But perfection is unattainable and you are setting yourself for failure which will result in shattering your inner peace. The “perfect thing” is our subconscious desire to create our dream world and we always strive for it, no matter if it is possible or not.
3. Is it more important to be liked or respected?
Likes are temporary, but respect is long-term. When you are liked, you are liked for your current product, idea or self. If you are respected, you are respected because of what is you, what is yourself and what you have done and continue to do. Respect is built slower, it is easier to be broken but can last for a long time. On the other hand, likes are being short-term, people can hate your next product or idea or whatever and there is no guarantee that it will last for a long period of time. So respect is more important than likes. People who respect you are more honest with you and you can bond with them, but people who like you can do it for their benefit or may hate you in the future. It is not that respect is 100% guaranteed to be healthy or long-term, but it has more potential and can be more beneficial, on paper.
