THE PATH OF PEACE

in #peace6 years ago

Today we find it a great challenge to try and calm our minds, there is almost never a time out for our worries and troubles, because just when we think things are going as planned, things change and disappointments come.

Most of what robs us of our peace of mind falls in atleast one of these four categories; a place, a pace, a problem or problems or a person or people. We worry about a place being to far and feel that if the distance were shorter we would worry less, we worry that our life feels stagnant and is not moving as fast as we anticipated it to be, we worry we may get sick and die untimely.

Most times what we identify as the source of our worries or stress determines where we seek our peace. This is evident when we end up looking for love in the wrong place and investing in bad relationship because we are afraid of being alone.

However what actually robs us of our peace is not the unpleasant condition of our life but it is our expectation of perfection.

It is impossible to experience peace when you're expecting perfection.

The good news is God wants to bring us peace, if we are willing to surrender your expectations. When we understand that peace cannot be found in a place or a problem free circumstance, you'd know that peace can only be found in God.

God wants to take us on a path of peace which means if you're suffering and things aren't going as planned, you're not alone God is with you.

Where is the place of your greatest weakness because that is where Gods peace is most abundant.
