Black balloons were blown up Wednesday to commemorate those who were murdered on May 2, 2014, by a massacre of Ukrainian ultra-nationalists and neo-Nazis in the Ukrainian Black Sea port city of Odessa. A funeral was held on the central Kulikovo Polye Square, next to the trade union center, where people died in arson and mass execution.
As a reminder, after the violent coup in Kiev in late February 2014, there were demonstrations in Odessa against the anti-Russian regime set up by the West. In a leaflet action on 2 May 2014, the demonstrators were attacked by neo-Nazis, therefore escaped to the union house, which was then intentionally set on fire. More than 50 people were killed.
People who wanted to escape from the burning house through windows were shot, others were stabbed and killed in the building. Police and firefighters watched and did nothing. To date, there is no prosecution. And both the Nazi regime in Kyiv and the EU and the US cover the mantle of silence over this terrible as revealing event.
The people who commemorated the murderer had started collecting long before the rally. The situation was tense, however, as the memorial service was confronted by activists of right-wing extremist organizations, engaged in verbal confrontation with opponents who were curbed by the police.
The security has been tightened since the morning in Odessa. About 2,400 police and National Guard patrol in the city. Law enforcement officers have vehicles that want to get into the city and control the drivers and passengers. People had to go through metal detectors to come to the demonstration.
Although the police warned about a ban on the production, distribution and public use of symbols of communist and totalitarian Nazi regimes, the SS symbols were worn and displayed by the neo-Nazis.
Commemorative services were held in the churches of the Odessa region.
This massacre must never be forgotten, because the victims were brutally executed by opponents of democracy and a peaceful and tolerant society. The fact that the killers have not been caught until today shows what a criminal regime in Kiev is. The same criminal attitude is shown towards the people in Lugansk and Donetsk, who do not accept the illegal regime in Kiev and have declared themselves independent.
Soon there will be war against East Ukraine
All indications are that there will soon be a major attack on the so-called "separatists" in eastern Ukraine.
Maybe the time of the football World Cup in June and July will be used when in Russia everyone is busy with hosting the games. The rebels also used the Olympics in Sochi in February 2014 as "cover" for the overthrow of the legitimate government.
What also points to an attack, is the upgrade for a war, because the illegal President Pyotr Poroshenko has confirmed that Ukraine has received a number of anti-tank missiles of the type Javalin from the United States.
"I am delighted with the great interest, both in Ukraine and abroad, in delivering Javelin systems, and I can only confirm that the weapons we have been waiting for so long arrived in Ukraine strengthened Euro-Atlantic security, " he wrote Monday on his Facebook account.
"I sincerely appreciate the fair decision of [US President] Donald Trump to support Ukraine in defending freedom and democracy." Washington has not only fulfilled our joint agreement - it has shown leadership and an important example. "
Poroshenko once again said that he trusted the obligations of all partners of Ukraine, especially the group of Seven. However, he did not say how many Javelin systems were delivered, but according to sources, there are 37 launch tubes and 210 missiles.
Russia has warned Washington that it will open a "Pandora's Box" with it.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin said that the US is "essentially involved in an internal Ukrainian conflict, flaring it up again and internationalizing".
"That's why Washington's hawks are trying to increase the cost of the war in Donbass - it's a totally false and dangerous logic, it will lead to war, not peace."
Ruslan Balbek, a Russian MP from the Crimea, described the delivery of javelins, which are far more effective than the antitank weapons formerly used by the Kiev troops, as a "stimulus to Ukrainian aggression."
"Modern American weapons ... could force Ukraine into absolutely unpredictable aggressive actions against the republics in Donbass and the [Crimea] peninsula."
Russia says that Poroshenko now possessed "almost-dictatorial power" and called the Western armament, "the preparation for a new war".
