Other Niche Communities Curation Report #1112

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 1112th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Kids fishing at the beach.

Thankfully since yesterday the weather is getting calmer and even sun came out. So we decided to go to the beach. When we got there, kids were a bit cranky, not wanting to do much, but we saw some kids we knew. Those kids they are always into some adventures. They had a little fishing net, maybe kid size, and a few buckets of water. I was surprised to see a few fish in their bucket. So my kids asked if they could join the crew :-)

¡Hagamos una hucha! || Let's make a piggy bank! [Esp/Eng]

Today I want to show you a piggy bank made with a plastic bottle. A good option if you want to make your own piggy bank to save money.

It's Okay to Leave (#KISS Blog)

As it happens, I'm very decisive about this sort of situation. Once I determine someone/something is no longer serving, I leave with no questions asked. Sometimes, I just take a break from a situation, community, or person, but more often than not, it's for good. And it's been on my mind, because I realize a lot of people aren't like this, and I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.

Spring Walk to Cologne

It was spring when I went to Germany but still I found it very cold. Since that was my first time to be in that place, my body temperature took awhile to adapt on their temperature there. Thank God eventually my body had shown cooperation then. My stay there was very awesome and memorable worthy to share with.

Garden Update: School Gardening

Hello! It is my pleasure to wish you all a joyful and blessed day. How are you doing right now? We were still in the peak of the summer season and the temperatures were extremely high. Some areas received light rain, while others did not. As a result, maintaining school gardens is challenging. Despite this, we could keep the numerous vegetables planted in our assigned areas healthy and alive.

Consumed by consumerism

When I was a child, I used to hanker after handmade greeting cards. Now, as an adult, the best card is a credit card. It is the bane and boon of my existence. It buys me pretty things that fill the void of a lost childhood, but it makes me anxious about bills due to pesky adulthood.

That brings me to my thoughts on consumerism. It is instant gratification. If we were taught anything in school, it was that only delayed gratification works, but for me, shopping and buying pretty things is a great pick-me-up.

Third Monthly Children's Feeding and the Great Fellowship

Greetings to the wonderful people of the wonderful Hive world! Hope all are doing well. Life as a working mom has been so busy but thankfully been able to manage not to forget to continue the ministry that God had entrusted. Today, I am going to share our third monthly Children's Feeding we had last month of February and the great fellowship we had after.

Un lente amigo / A lens friend3

Anyway, we got to occupy the space and time of this friend who took care of us with so much love and patience. In return, he won some kisses and smiles from my baby as a way of thanking her for the sweetness with which she was treated during the whole day.

Just A Typical Rainy Afternoon

Rainy days are giving us a different vibe. Aside from the cold breeze and a wet surrounding, there's always an impact coming from the rain. The sound of the water dropping on the roof can be calming and relaxing to others, but there are moments when a rainy day reminds us of loneliness and sadness. Maybe it's how we reflect on a typical rainy day.

Experiencia de nuestro viaje a Mochima🏖️ // Experience of our trip to Mochima🏖️

Hello hello, beautiful people of Hive. I hope you had a happy Easter mini-vacation. Today I come to share with you our incredible experience traveling to Mochima for the first time on the last day of SS2023. My boyfriend and I decided to travel there because we had been wanting to do it for a long time and because we deserved to spend a whole day enjoying the beach before going back to our daily routine. Without further ado, here is my experience🌞.
