Equipping a Community

As part of MESHOA's first public campaign, we've released our first official limited NFT with the aim of aiding remote rural communities of Southern Africa. Helping them reach their goals of creating local skills development centres for adults.

Each NFT will be part of a campaign to help fund a certain part of each project. The proceeds from this NFT will go to cover the costs of buying a 5 brick press and manual cement mixer for the community of Chicumbane, Mozambique.

This NFT will only be minted 1000 times on the WAX blockchain. 30 have been listed on markets like Atomic Hub or NeftyBlocks for 20 WAX each and more will be added until all 1000 are sold with the aim of breaking into $1000 to buy the equipment for the community.

The next NFT in this collection will be part of a longer campaign to provide the community with raw materials for them to start using the equipment we want to supply them with.

The NFTs will also be more unique to each buyer/sponsor with blending mechanisms for those who sponsor more than once and wish to reduce their duplicates while receiving a more rare NFT in return.

Our efforts have been self funded over the last 10 years, with anything more than what was needed to survive being put into our projects. What couldn't be funded was just something I would study up on and apply until it was done, but this can only get us so far without help to help.

The volunteers from the community are very eager to start learning and applying what they are taught about construction. Wanting to be able to get a job or even start a little business from home that will help improve the community.

As buildings are completed, equipment will be protected from the environment and other forms of skills development can be offered to the community.

Giving me the opportunity to keep sketching and improving in my spare time to help keep the funding going because other communities in rural Mozambique have expressed their wishes for us to help them do the same on land that has been set aside for projects like ours.
