Explosive Weaponry can make the battle end faster from its collateral damage to each side of the victim monster. My key to victory in Explosive Weaponry rule

  1. Use monster with Snipe and Opportunity ability to get a better chance of splashing the collateral damage.
  2. Use monster with Taunt ability to attract most of the damage to the only spot of the team and put the high health monster to the side of Taunt monster.

Line up:

Mimosa Nightshade LV 1

Edition: UNTAMED
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: DEATH
ABILITIES: All friendly monsters have Void ability. All enemy monsters -1 Range damage and got affliction.
Mimosa Nightshade was a great choice when you want to make a great defensive team. Her ability made the enemy suffer from reduced Range damage and can't heal due to Affliction ability. Void ability will make our team endure more to the magic damage.

Dark Ha'on LV 1

Edition: UNTAMED
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: DEATH
ATTACK: MELEE
ABILITIES: Shield; Magic Reflect at level 5

Our hero of the day; Dark Ha'on was chosen to stay on the front line to taunt all of the enemy damage. His high health and Flying ability made him endure magic damage and had a chance to evade some of the physical attacks.

  • Dark Ha'on comes with 2⚔️ 3🐌 1⚙️ 13❤️

Shadowy Presence LV 1

Edition: REWARD
Rarity: EPIC
Element: DEATH
ATTACK: NONE
ABILITIES: Strengthen at level 3; Inspire at level 6

Shadowy Presence was chosen to stay behind Dark Ha'on to receive some of the collateral damage from Explosive weapon. His low mana cost made him be a great choice for low mana capacity rule.

  • Shadowy Presence comes with 0⚔️ 1🐌 0⚙️ 4❤️

Prismatic Energy LV 2

Edition: REWARD
Rarity: RARE
Element: NEUTRAL
ATTACK: MAGIC
ABILITIES: Magic Reflect at level 1; Void at level 5

Prismatic Energy was chosen due to his high health and magic reflect ability. In case Dark Ha'on and Shadowy Presence can't hold on the front line any longer, it can step in and act as a great tanker. Although its damage might be low, its magic damage can do some minor damage to a monster without Void ability.

  • Prismatic Energy comes with 1⚔️ 4🐌 0⚙️ 9❤️

Ancient Lich LV 1

Edition: REWARD
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: DEATH
ATTACK: MAGIC
ABILITIES: Life Leech at level 1;
Void at level 3; Resurrect at level 4

Ancient Lich is a great attacker which later can act as a tanker of the team if he can use his advantage from Life Leech's ability for at least two or three turns. In this case, Dark Ha'on will taunt all the damage to only himself, Ancient Lich can easily do huge magic damage and also increase his health. His position is normally put around the middle of the team since he can step up as a tanker if the front line falls down.

  • Ancient Lich comes with 3⚔️ 1🐌 0⚙️ 3❤️

Twisted Jester LV 2

Edition: BETA
Rarity: RARE
Element: DEATH
ATTACK: RANGE
ABILITIES: Snipe at level 1; Doge at level 5

Twisted Jester was selected from his Snipe ability which will be most effective when combining with blast ability. The collateral damage will be on both sides of the enemy if it hit somewhere around the middle of the enemy team. He was mostly positioned around the back line of the team.

  • Twisted Jester comes with 2⚔️ 3🐌 0⚙️ 5❤️

Soulstorm LV 2

Edition: UNTAMED
Rarity: EPIC
Element: DEATH
ATTACK: RANGE
ABILITIES: Flying at level 1; Snare at level 2; Headwinds at level 4; Stun at level 6

Soulstorm is a very dangerous creature, it comes with high damage, high speed, and flying ability. The higher level it is the more dangerous it will be. Only its weakness is health which is very low, it can be an easy target from the monster with Opportunity ability. However, it is very safe in this battle due to our hero of the day Dark Ha'on act as a shield for the whole team. Soulstorm is mostly put at the end of the team since its high speed and Flying ability can evade most of the physical damage.

  • Soulstorm comes with 3⚔️ 5🐌 0⚙️ 2❤️

Battle

The opponent team chose the DEATH deck with Zintar Mortalis summoner along with Gelatinous Cube, Haunted Spirit, Sand Worm, Prismatic Energy, Vampire, and Grim Reaper.
One advantage I had got from this battle was his summoner had few benefits in this battle, only Dark Ha'on affect from -1 melee attack.

ROUND 1

image.png

The strategy worked as planned, all of the damage is taunted to Dark Ha'on. Most of the damage was reduced from the ability of our summoner Mimosa Nightshade. However, Sandworm acted as an enemy main attacker, its high damage took down Shadowy Presence.

ROUND 2

image.png

At the beginning of round2 Dark Ha'on failed down. Prismatic Energy stepped in as a tanker with his high health and Magic reflection ability. Our ancient lich performed his task really well, he gained plenty of health from Life leech ability and caused lots of damage at the same time.

ROUND 3

image.png

Soulstorm managed to take down Gelatinous Cube and poor Sandworm took collateral damaged then died. Twisted Jester played an important role in this round, his Snipe ability directly hit Vampire so both Grim reaper and Prismatic Energy suffered from collateral damage. Enemy team also took down our Prismatic Energy.

ROUND 4

image.png

Without tanker, the enemy team couldn't stand a chance with the mighty Ancient Lich and his team. Twisted Jester took a final blow on Grim Reaper.

Questions and Answers:

1. Did my strategy work?

My strategy for this strategy worked great like magic. The combination of the ability from each monster help the team in the positive way. Dark Ha'on as the main tanker took all the damage, saved the rest of the team. Shadowy Presence act as a human shield for Ancient Lich. Not bad for 1 mana monster. Prismatic Energy as a third tanker acted as the last line of defense before the enemy breach into our main attacker. He took most of the damage before failed down, so the rest of the team could do a heap of damage to the enemy. Ancient Lich got easy free health each turn from a great job of our tanker. Twisted Jester caused lots of damage to most of the enemy in the middle.
Soulstorm hid very well in our battle strategy, it hit hard our poor enemy, none of them stand a chance to find and take any damage to him.

2. What will you try differently next time?

In higher mana battle, I might consider using The Gorlodon as the second tanker to gain benefit from his Reach ability and his high health. But for the rest of the team, most of them did a decent job. Dark Ha'on was the real key success to this victory, without him, the attacker on our side would fall down pretty fast since most of them were low health.

3. Do you like the Dark Ha'on? Why or why not?

YES, I like Dark Ha'on, it is a magnificent creature. Dark Ha'on is a great tanker from Death splinter. Taunt ability plays a great role in many combat rules, one of these is Explosive Weaponry. In order to avoid collateral damage, most of the damage should be attracted to the same spot. Since most of the range and magic monster from Death splinter is fragile, they must have someone to protect them, Dark Ha'on can perform his duty as a first tanker very well.
