NASA finances the creation of a blockade service for space research

in #news7 years ago

Specialists of Akron University from the US are exploring the possibility of creating a block-service that will calculate the trajectories of satellites, allowing them to avoid collision with space debris. To carry out further work in this area, NASA has allocated a $ 330 million grant to developers.

University specialists, whose team is headed by Professor Jean Weiem, is going to build his own data center on the blockbuster Efir.
The developers are confident that their service will help mankind to safely and efficiently explore the space, because despite all the successes of people in this regard, the situation with space data collection is hardly ideal.
The research satellites are in different orbits, it is quite difficult to control them because of the long distance, and the probability of collision with other space objects (for example, garbage) is quite high.

Therefore, developers are going to manage satellites with the help of specially designed for these purposes AI and distributed registry technology. Scientists are sure that this method will be much more effective than those that exist at the moment.
