DeLorean Aerospace announces their DR-7 (flying car!) project. The DR-7 is an electric motor ducted fan vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. The DR-7 incorporates a pair of 360 degree thrust-vectoring electric ducted fan units located at the front and rear of the aircrafts carbon composite body. The fans provide veriticle lift for takeoff and landing in the horizontal position and after takeoff the fans pivot to a vertical orientation to propel the aircraft forward transitioning to fixed wing flight. DeLorean says with current battery technology the aircraft would have a range of around 120 miles at speeds of up to 240 miles per hour. This range could be greatly extended with the use of liquid fuel and hybrid motor technology.
DeLorean hopes to begin flight testing the DR-7 prototype sometime in 2018.

This is cool! DeLorean: From Time Machine to Flying Cars! My brother in law has an old DeLorean. I'll have to show him this post.
Also, I noticed that you've taken a lot of really cool macro shots. Following in hopes of seeing more!
