Princess of Dubai – dead or locked up?
Ah, Dubai. The lifestyles of the rich and famous and uberwealthy aristocrats. It seems like a picture perfect paradise in the middle of the desert in the middle east, attracting foreign investors and a wide variety of wealth from across the world (they also just recently launched their own cryptocurrency)
I am surprised that this is nowhere on Steem. Furthermore, none of this has been in the MSM in the US.
The princess of Dubai has been missing since March 5th.
Sheikha Latifa Al Maktoum, daughter of the King of Dubai (SHEIKH MOHAMMED – the billionaire ruler of Dubai) has disappeared off the radar after a chilling escape story involving murder, corruption, torture, and violation of human rights.
Latifa sent the Guardian and other news organizations in the UK her identity documents, in addition to a video recorded prior to her disappearance, where she explains the illegal actions of her father and the corruption within the UAE.
On March 11th, a video made by her before her escape attempt, that was supposed to be released in case her life was in danger during the ordeal, has since been made public.
In the video, Latifa explains how her father murdered his former wife who is Moroccan. The information she provides and the details she explains simply cannot be false. To risk her entire life in a 45 minute video revealing the secrets of Dubai and her fathers corruption are only the beginning of this twisted yet almost surreal event.
'I do not have the freedom that people have. Freedom of choice is not something we have' Latifa says in the video. She also is not allowed to be in possession of her passport.
Latifa recorded the video (below) explaining how she planned to escape from Dubai. However, things didn’t exactly work out how she had intended.
She traveled from the Dubai to Oman, and from Oman she was accompanied by a dual French/US Spy with the goal of reaching India by boat, where she had intentions of declaring political asylum in the United States.
This is where things get messy. On the boat, Latifa was also with her martial arts instructor from Finland.
The boat was a US registered boat, in international waters traveling from Oman to India. Under all scopes of international law, this technically is considered an act of war considering the boat was a US registered ship.
The boat was attacked by joint UAE and Indian forces. It turns out, Latifa’s father sent a request to INTERPOL stating she was kidnapped and needed to return to Dubai. However, the story and testimonies of the French/US Spy and the Finnish martial arts instructor detail a horrific story.
Both the French/US Spy and the Finnish martial arts instructor were taken with Latifa and imprisoned in the UAE for two weeks under intense interrogation. They were released; however, Latifa is STILL missing.
In the video where Latifa details the corruption and inhumane actions of her father, she explains that the video will be released only if “something very bad has happened, or I am dead”. She further elaborates by stating that the UAE will try to “discredit” her and the video, saying it’s an actress or someone pretending to be her.
Essentially, this entire event encompasses the US, France, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), India, Morocco, England, Finland, and perhaps even more countries which have not yet been disclosed.
This scandal is one that should not go unnoticed. This situation should have headlines SCREAMING about a royal being kidnapped and tortured (or killed – but I have hope she is still alive). We at STEEM should help bring attention to the cause.
Why hasn’t the MSM picked up on this story? And, why hasn’t the US intervened since it was a US boat in international waters? Under any other circumstances, an attack on a US ship in international territory would be considered an act of war.
Awe thats a shame...
it truly is an unfathomable and unfortunate situation.
Lol like i give a shit about dubai.
Why would you even type that? You win the steemit worst comment award. Congratulations.
Seriously. Where is the compassion for humanity?
She's a human being just like you. Apparently you haven't read the post.....this entire situation deals with more than just Dubai....it's an international conflict. Thanks for your snide commentary though.

Ya it was a dick comment....but really....I care about as much as they would, if one of us went missing...
And on with my day. Cheers
So you're saying that if a Canadian PM or a British Royal went missing, you'd care. But because it's the UAE you don't care.
Again, lack of compassion for humanity.
