This is my entry for the A - Z Photography Contest, run by @sustainablyyours. It's a weekly contest in which we will be photographing our way through the English alphabet.
The A-Z contest
the A-Z contest. The idea is to submit an entry photo every week, inspired by the letter of that week.@sustainablyyours started a new weekly contest earlier this week:
Since this is the first week, that would be the letter 'A'.
I just came across a message in my feed in which @sustainablyyours stated that there were no entries yet. As I think every contest deserves a chance, I started scrolling through the photos I had on my phone. To be honest, I didn't really expect to come across something that would resemble an 'A', so you can imagine my surprise when I came across the one you can see at the top of this post.
The Story Behind The Photo
I'm a gardener in hibernation, so I'm always looking for small projects that can keep me busy. When we were in the gardening center to get some new Aloe Vera plants, I was looking at the bird feeders. You can never have enough of those in your winter garden.
I was shocked to see how expensive they were, and decided I could just as well make them myself. So I took a couple of pictures to remember how they were built.
I had never thought those pictures would come in handy for a contest here. What a funny coincidence....
By the way, this is the picture of the top part:
With a little imagination you can see another 'A' with her legs wide apart, lol.
Join Too
Personally, I like the originality of the contest. I'm already thinking about where to get a picture of something that resembles the letter 'B'.
But it won't be any fun if I would be the only contestant, right?! Go through your photo's or walk around trying to find something that looks like the lettter 'A'.
Then, make a short post that tells the story of the picture and add the link to your post to the comments section of the original contest post.
