So that's us back with the videos. I'll make at the very least 3 per week, and we'll take it from there.
It's been quite the journey, YouTube has. Over the last few months whilst things have been quieter I've been doing this like educating myself on how to project myself on camera and get my message across.
I'm slowly learning that as I get better at it, I don't really need all the SEO and booster packs and all that jazz. In fact all the knowledge I've learned about YouTube has been from free videos on YouTube, haha.
So basically I've withdrawn from spending any more on any add ons for YouTube. I've realised they basically take advantage of the newer more naive creators. So that will be even MORE money to give back to the DAO when the year is up.
One thing I will say is that I'm getting way more relaxed on camera and I'm trying to speed up my voice - those are the main criticisms right now from people, so currently I'm working on that.
I looked into getting a green screen -- but my room is too small and poky for one. I tried moving my computer into another room but my wife nearly had a seizure; she wasn't going to put up with me messing another room in our house, so I'm going to pass on that for the moment until I work out something more efficient.
I am planning to get my own office in town when my finances get better so when that happens then I'll have plenty of space to use a green screen and make better, cooler videos, and I could probably host too. But that's future plans of a dreamer. We will see.
Obviously just an example here, but prices for offices are very reasonable. I'll be looking nearer the time and when I have the funds to afford it.
But we get that rolling I can stop videoing from my crappy office in my poky room. Then when I'm in something like this I can properly look into getting myself a green screen. Perhaps if I get really good at what I do we could look at getting people in off the street and into the hive ecosystem.
Ah, a dream, but one can dream nonetheless. But that's my plan for YouTube over the coming months.
I am slowly getting better at not only presenting on camera, but editing the videos as well, so it's a fun ride so far. Our views are up, and I'm packing a better punch with what I say. I'll disclose our stats next week once we've had a good week of videos.
You're really making great progress on YouTube, and I am excited to see how far you'll go. I am sure great things will come ahead. I will look forward to those stats for next week. Before then, keep it rocking.
Cheers bud :)
Thanks bud
It's too bad they don't have something like a makerspace over there where they already had the green screen set up and you could just rent it for like an hour or whatever.
There's a place near here that helps small businesses, they rent out real cheap rooms. I don't need something fancy. Only somewhere I can work in peace :)
That is pretty cool! I think places like that are smart especially now that more people are working from home and businesses have cut down on office space.
Oh they are. I did a real good deep research after writing this post and I even found somewhere renting out virtual offices. Crazy! Haha. Not what I need, but I thought the concept interesting nonetheless!
Yes, very interesting!
