Hello NeedleWorkMonday!

A couple of weeks ago I posted pictures of some of my handiwork and @crosheille was kind enough to stop by and let me know about needleworkmonday.

humble offering masterpiece!:So, today, as my first #needleworkmonday post, I have the following

This is part of a work in progress. I'm more of a knitter than a crocheter, so I was experimenting with doing squares in different patterns and with different materials. Eventually, I figured I should sew them together into... well... something. It's now of a size to nicely cover your lap. I intend to keep making squares and adding them on, probably for a very long time.

I drew a circle to draw your attention to the blue square-ish sort of thing. Yeah, it doesn't even have four proper sides. But this particular square is special because my daughter decided to have a go at making some squares too and this was her first one. I was determined to fit it in somewhere, so she could see her work contributing to the whole; I'm also happy that I managed to finesse it in with the other, more regularly shaped pieces.

Thank you for reading!

I bet your daughter is so proud to have her work included in the blanket. Nice job!

Thank you. It's nice for any of us to be able to point to some - even small - part of a larger thing and say, "I did that bit."

very beautifully obtained! daughter is well done !!!! Welcome!!!!

Thank you. She's improving too. Her squares are much squarer now. :)

Hello @beachhermit! I’m so glad to have you join us! Thank you so much for sharing today. I think it’s awesome that your daughter is learning how to crochet and even more awesome that her mommy added her piece to the process! That is the sweetest. You’re doing good, keep up the good work. The funnest part of putting things together is seeing the end product...I’m looking forward to see! 😃

Thanks. I'm not sure this one will end any time soon. I think this one will be more about the journey than the destination :)

For sure! Enjoy the journey ahead! 😉

It’s perfect and so is the middle “square” 💕💕we are glad to have you here with us on needleworkmonday!!

Thank you, glad to have found you (or been found!)
