Cross Country Skied out to edge of swamp to pic up trail camera. Sure enough was buried deeply by snow. The usual suspects were on the camera, several deer, chickadees, porcupines but this image was different. A,very healthy coyote with a rabbit in its mouth. I love the look in its eyes. Was hoping to see some big cats like cougar, lynx, or bobcat, but happy to settle with coyote pic.
I will have to dig up the video I caught on a game-cam of a 65lb coydog. Was a beautiful beast. The island I live on has some feral huskies and some of the coyotes have crossbred with them.
I would love,to see it. We have a very healthy population near us. Love to hear them will bark, yip, and howl up to a great frenzy, then silence. Rare to actually see them.
