Homemade Quinine (Hydroxychloraquine - HCQ)
Use organic fruits, if you cannot locate organic, scrub the fruits thoroughly with a dish soap and light vinegar mix. This works to remove pesticides, and any other toxic chemicals sprayed upon the fruit.
This extraction process produces a medicinal compound called Quinine which is famous for treating Malaria. In more recent times, it was used to treat Covid to grand remedial effect. Quinine has many uses and applications, it is analgesic, anaesthetic, anti-arrhythmic, antibacterial, anti-malarial, anti-microbial, anti-parasitic, antipyretic, antiseptic, anti-spasmodic, astringent, bactericidal, cytotoxic, febrifuge, fungicidal, insecticidal, nervine.
With winter months of diminished sunshine, holiday stress and close quarter exposures to illness it’s good to have this remedy on hand to turn sickness around.
Cheers and good health to you, let’s get at it.
The skins of 3 organic lemons
The skins of 3 organic grapefruit
Fresh or powdered Ginger (fresh is ALWAYS best)
Organic, raw or local honey to taste (about 2 TBSPS)
Juice and store the extracted juices of the grapefruits and lemon to drink now or at at a later time.
Next peel and slice the fruit skins into quarters and then put only the peels into a large pot pot and add water to 3/4’s of the pot’s holding capacity.
Put a lid on pot and bring to boil, then afterwards lower heat and allow to simmer for 3 hours.
Let cool with pot lid on (IMPORTANT), and afterwards, you may add 2 TBSPs of Honey and fresh grated Ginger to the mixture or an amount that you can tolerate.
Finally, strain and drain contents into a jar (mason jar preferably) and store in the refrigerator.
Dosage: Take 1 tablespoon daily for prevention maintenance. With symptoms of illness, take 1 tablespoon every couple of hours. Discontinue use as soon as you recover fully.
Awesome. I love recipes to make stuff at home that I can do myself. The last sentence in the OP seems inappropriate. Shouldn't the prophylactic dose (for preventative maintenance) be resumed, rather than use discontinued altogether?
Thanks!
Great question. I would monitor and base that upon the severity and length of the illness being treated. Quinine/Chloraquine inactivates enzymes in the lysosomes of cells and may produce toxic myopathy in overdosages. Myopathy is a disease of the muscle in which the muscle fibres do not function properly.
