We have all heard the song, we will Rock you, by the rock band Queen.

But how many of us know, that the vocalist of Queen, Freddie Mercury, was an Indian?

Farooq Bulsara (real name) was born in a Parsi family in 1946, in undivided India.

He went to a boarding school in Panchgani (Maharashtra-India) called St.Peters school. This is where he formed his first band called the hectics at the age of 12.

At the age of 17, he moved to London with his family. The rest is history…

Have visited this place, happened to see the school as well. Great scenic views around.
