Could be it's about the upvoter, I censored his username from my post where I used him as an example in a topic recently, maybe someone was extra curious. Either way, I'm sure it's not an ongoing issue if you get curated by others.
You may have censored (not used) the names, but seems one way or another others are still looking into it "out of curiosity" and for my account (or my face) to be on your post is kinda not cool. I didn't do anything wrong and now my account is being attacked for zero reason.
Looks like the votes happened before my post so doubt it's cause your face is in my post, I can cover that part up if you'd like as I didn't give the censoring enough diligence. I can't really control who reads my comments and how they choose to act based upon it, and neither can I choose how your upvoter acted after my downvotes and comments asking him to reconsider his activity. Voting is 50% curation and 50% post rewards, so there's a high chance it's about the upvoters curation rewards in this case rather than your comments' content.
What's the point though? They're downvoting me just because "upvoter" upvoted my comment? Isnt that abuse of the platform? I mean, my account is tiny, and you might as well say I'm a newbie. I'm just trying to wrap my head around it.
To remove his curation rewards I suppose. Happens some times, not all downvotes are great similar to how some upvotes can seem like abuse as well. Either way, edited the screenshot in my post, hope you guys give Hive a proper try eventually.
I appreciate the edit, and words of advice. I hope one day people can find a platform that's free to post what they want. Not everyone is knowledgeable about how the system works, so therefore there's room for mistakes, in which people shouldn't be penalized for.
I hope one day people can just be kind and help one another. If there was rules, or a class to help one learn the "proper" ways of Hive, then I'm sure there wouldn't be many discrepancies. We're all just human, and striving for success in this vast world.
I have never had this issue before. 😑
