History of Oscar: Best movie 1931, original series by @ivancica #4

Today's text is related to the fourth Oscars and the best film that has won the title of best film in 1931 year. I hope that you have watched some of the old films that were mentioned in the previous texts, if yes, I really would like to comment them together and make a comparison of today's films with those of the last century.

At the fourth award the Los Angeles Academy, honored the best film achievements premiered in the period from August 1, 1930 to July 31, 1931. As you can see, as opposed to the previous Oscars, the Oscars have been moved for a year. In my opinion, a good decision of the Academy, because we still have to bear in mind that it is important that there are a selection of more films for the Oscars. It is so more interesting and it seems to me that it gives a higher artistic note and freedom to the filmmakers and it is time to really make the true masterpiece.

Here is a one interesting thing about award: The ceremony itself was known because of the 9-year-old Jackie Cooper, a child actor nominated for the role in Skippy, fell asleep on Marie Dressler (she received Oscar for the film Min and Bill) He only woke up when it was announced that she won Oscar for Best Actress. Poor Jackie probably the Oscars was not too interesting and exciting for him, and perhaps he was just a child who did not know what it was about all that ceremony. In my opinion, it was not interesting to him :) Cooper then set the record as the youngest person ever nominated for the Oscars, and held him for 50 years.

At the award ceremony, Cimarron was the biggest winner, who was nominated for the then record seven categories, and the first to win more than two awards (Oscar for best film, best scenography and best-adapted scenario). He represented the first Wester who managed it, and for 59 years (all the way to Dances With Wolves), none of the genre's achievements repeated this achievement.

Cimarron

Cimarron is an American western film shot in 1931 under the direction of Wesley Ruggles. The action is based on Edna Ferber's novel, and the protagonist, whose character interprets Richard Dix, is an adventurer who, along with his family, comes to the still "wild" area of the Oklahoma Territory in the late 1880s to create life there. In spite of the financial problems associated with the Great Depression, a huge amount of money was invested in the film, and the scene of the famous Oklahoma Country Race with over 5000 stats was one of the most massive and most spectacular in the history of American cinema ever made. Cimarron has had a tremendous success and was awarded Oscar for best film.

Later, the reputation of the film, however, severely degraded the view of the Indians, Jews and blacks who were considered by some critics racist and politically incorrect. It is therefore rarely or never shown on American television, as opposed to the 1960 remake in which these "problematic" content is relaxed.
So the film really speaks about the state of American consciousness at that time, and if someone is a lover in film western, he must not miss it. Frankly, I am not a fan of Western films and I always decide for some other thing. I do not like the ambience and the movie note that the Westerners carry with me, it is mostly a note of the dream, and I really avoid them. However, this year, this film won the Oscars in three categories and it is worth a look at it if for anything else then because of the historical importance and artistic notes.

Frankly, I did not watch any of these films. But I'm sure I'll at least watch Skippy. Since I love comics, I also like movies on this subject.
