So I think I've digested alien covenant enough to voice my opinions on it. I don't know if it's a good movie or not but it's certainly a very entertaining one.
David is a very interesting character and seeing his evolution from servant to god was kinda awesome
I specifically like the use of Vagner at the end
Most of the crew characters were fine the only one i actually liked was Daniels and Tennessee had his also but got annoying after awhile
The movie looks really good but there are so many shots that should just be static shots where it's shot handheld and is all wobbly for some reason.
I loved the scene where the guy is rigging out after he got infected and Tennessee's wife just locks the door and freaks out because she just doesn't know what to do.
I should probably mention that this film keeps a pretty consistent tone that has the film just ramp up .
The thing I'll give this film a lot of credit for is somehow being a heady science fiction film, an 80s slasher flick, and a B space action movie and it all feeling tonally consistent at least for me.
It feels like a Cannon film.
I also liked the music a lot. We get to see James Franco die which is always a treat.
Yay! 🤗
