The easy path / der leichte Weg

In a society based on performance and success, we are conditioned to work hard for everything. Even the fairy tales and movies from our childhood told us that the hardest way is the one that leads to success. The one where the prince has to defeat the monsters to get to the dragon he has to fight to free the princess and get to the chest of gold. No one ever speaks of the hundreds of princes who die on the way and the thousands who meet their big love at a party and live happily ever after with the gold they inherited. I know they're just fairy tales. But you know what I mean! Life doesn't have to be a struggle. And the hardest way is not necessarily the one that brings happiness. Nor does it prove that we are a good and valuable person. And yet this programming is deep.
That is why I want you to become aware of your motivation when you make a decision. It is okay to choose the easy way. The only thing that says about you is that you are clever and value yourself. And it is even helpful for others to choose the easy way because it gives them permission to do it as well.
Life is not a test! And the easy way here is to be gone!

In einer Gesellschaft die auf Leistung und Erfolg basiert, sind wir darauf konditioniert, dass wir für alles hart arbeiten müssen. Sogar die Märchen und Filme aus unserer Kindheit sagten uns, dass der härteste Weg der ist, der zum Erfolg führt. Derjenige, bei dem der Prinz die Monster besiegen muss, um zu dem Drachen zu kommen, den er bekämpfen muss, damit er die Prinzessin befreien und zu der Truhe mit Gold gelangen kann. Niemand spricht jemals von den Hunderten von Prinzen, die auf dem Weg sterben, und den Tausenden, die ihre große Liebe auf einer Party treffen und glücklich bis ans Ende ihrer Tage mit dem Geld leben, das sie geerbt haben. Ich weiß, das sind nur Märchen. Aber du verstehst, worauf ich hinaus will! Das Leben muss kein Kampf sein. Und der härteste Weg ist nicht unbedingt der, der Glück bringt. Er beweist auch nicht, dass wir ein guter und wertvoller Mensch sind. Und doch sitzt diese Programmierung tief.
Deshalb möchte ich, dass du dir deiner Motivation bewusst wirst, wenn du eine Entscheidung triffst. Es ist in Ordnung, den einfachen Weg zu wählen. Das Einzige, was das über dich aussagt, ist dass du clever bist und dich selbst wertschätzt. Und es ist sogar dienlich für andere, den einfachen Weg zu wählen, denn es gibt ihnen die Erlaubnis, es ebenfalls zu tun.
Das Leben ist keine Bewährungsrobe! Und der einfache Weg ist hier zum gegangen zu werden!
