Hi, Steemers!
I know that "no one" has nothing to hide, but I am very bothered by the principle that the state, agencies, hackers may do what they want with your privacy. And the fact that they make a lot of money on the user's back and we don't benefit one penny, although we are Bombarded with commercials. And if you feel the same, please let's find together the best Block-Chain E-mail or at least an experimental one, preferably that shares revenue with the user. Please share your experience related to this subject.
"State-Sponsored Hackers and Geopolitical Implications
News on data breaches is recurring almost daily, affecting email service providers, as well as businesses, government agencies, and political organizations. The impacts of these incidents are potentially far-reaching.
Take, for example, the recent hacking of the Democratic National Committee. Allegedly, this hacking adversely affected the outcome of the 2016 U.S. Presidential elections. Many contend that state-sponsored actors performed the hacking.
In effect, according to NBC News, “U.S. intelligence officials now believe with ‘a high level of confidence’ that Russian President Vladimir Putin became personally involved in the covert Russian campaign to interfere in the U.S. presidential election, senior U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News.”
Cyberattacks have been the norm for a long time. Now, however, the frequency, magnitude, and implications of email hackings and other malicious acts are increasing dramatically. As a result, it is now urgent to innovate and move toward more secure email technologies, such as those that integrate the security that the Bitcoin’s blockchain technology provides.
What do you think about running email systems on Bitcoin’s blockchain technology? Let us know in the comments below."

I will list the Decentralized E-mails found on the Web:
PROMETHEUS https://proemthe.us/ ( Seems abandoned, I guess never took off... Anyone knows something about that?)
Lemon Mail ~~~ embed:ethereum/comments/68tyhn/lemonmail_dapp_a_decentralized_email_service/ (I think it's in the testing phase, I wait for a response for testing...) reddit metadata:fGV0aGVyZXVtfGh0dHBzOi8vd3d3LnJlZGRpdC5jb20vci9ldGhlcmV1bS9jb21tZW50cy82OHR5aG4vbGVtb25tYWlsX2RhcHBfYV9kZWNlbnRyYWxpemVkX2VtYWlsX3NlcnZpY2UvICAgKEkgdGhpbmsgaXQncyBpbiB0aGUgdGVzdGluZyBwaGFzZSwgSSB3YWl0IGZvciBhIHJlc3BvbnNlIGZvciB0ZXN0aW5nLi4uKXw= ~~~
MaidSafe on the coin-market already (MAID)$0.785811 USD (7.04%) https://maidsafe.net (I'm gonna check this out!)
FlowingMail http://flowingmail.com (Appears to be also in an infant stage, can't register anywhere)
CryptaMail http://www.cryptamail.com ( the register/send private e-mail doesn't work, probably also in the developing stage or dumped...)
Please do your own research and tell me if you find another, or what you know about those listed above.
Thank you!
To a better, prosperous, private and free Home/World!
Namaste
Consider that if blockchain is used for emails, then your emails will be permanently stored on the blockchain. The emails will be completely public forever if the private keys are compromised. Decentralization prevents censorship but does not protect privacy.
Of course current email providers might store copies of all your emails even if you delete them, while emails on the blockchain will certainly be encrypted with your private key. But what is the advantage of storing emails on a blockchain? A better solution is to simply encrypt the content of your emails with OpenPGP.
Hi, slopebook!
You are right that they will be public, but just tiny bits of them, nobody except you will have all the pieces acces trough your encrypted password.
how do these compare to protonmail, souverin and tutanota?
Protonmail is encrypted indeed, but is not free (has a limited option free) it's stored on a private server, with private owners, with commercials and you not earn nothing.
Soverin it's not encrypted, also private, also with a server own by someone and you have to pay.
Tutanota it's encrypted, it's not free (more features/storage more money to pay), this to has private server and you don't earn a thing using them... in spite of all the commercials that they all run.
A Block-Chain e-mail should be one by community (not by one ore few person that decide), with your private files spread in tiny bits in all the network (not a server with all your data), the level of encryption in a block-chain it's far superior and the best of all should pay you for using it.
Soverin is PGP encrypted the dutch www.bof.nl (bits of freedom) chose their service to provide secure e-mail
Tutanota is also available in a gratis option, but the space is then a bit limited.
I see how decentralised is better, but i have not found one yet that i would actually use.
I'll try to come back to this article to find more options.
Ok, thanks and good luck! :)
I don't know this e-mails that you shared, I will do some research. Thank you!
