RE: STOP and Smell the Roses to Have an AWESOME SUNday :)

in #love7 years ago (edited)

@positivesynergy, I read another of your blogs about whale wars and warlord downvotes.

I wanted to give you an upvote for that, but then saw it was 7 days old, so not much point. I thought you would prefer it if I come to one of your recent blogs and vote that.

I was very sorry to learn that you had been attacked by the million steem guy. The saddest part of it is that he didn’t react when you tried to appease him and apologize. Real life is like that. There’s no pleasing some people. I try to avoid people who behave like jerks, but sometimes they just find you.

I’m going to try and give you a first step to recover your reputation with a nice big vote. Here’s your score and reputation immediately before I vote:

And below is your score and reputation after my vote:

Very good! My vote seems to have helped you a little. I hope you can get back on your feet soon. Please don’t leave steemit, and please don’t care about the trolls and bullies. You are you. You write what you like and love. That’s all that matters. Steemit was never going to make you or anyone enough money to live on, so let’s just put a reputation hit down to a temporary illness from which you will recover.

By the way, even though I see you write well, I am not much of a poetry guy, so you may not see me often on your poetry blogs.

Good luck and keep steeming!

Thank you so much, @swissclive, for your help. You inspire me to write more... I really appreciate it.

Please let us know more about who voted you down if you have not already shared your stories. I've been voted down a few reputation points in 2018 and it also happened a few times times in 2017 and I came back. I know for me, only a few points a few times. For you, I guess, you got hit harder than me. Probably a lot more. It is good as we stick together as small fish to survive against bigger whales and dinosaurs and sea monsters. We do better as we make videos, memes, photos, articles, posts, etc, all about these things. I'm Oatmeal. And better safe than sorry.

If you want to help him, an upvote would be good.

WARLORD DOWNVOTES - The Number One Steemit KILLER . Just scroll down to "My Story" and read it from there. I've been told by some helping me not to mention him again, otherwise it can summon him where I make the mention. Who knows...Hi @joeyarnoldvn. My story is all on

But in a nutshell, it was only on 2 comments I had made that had only a few upvote cents. It pushed me from almost 47 down to 4, where, after doing the math, it takes 5 times the upvotes to regain reputation and apparently, at least from that above referenced post, as the author I only got 58% of proceeds. I've got screenshots and still scratching my head on that too.

Understood.

Who is the Million Steem Guy that voted down @PositiveSynergy and can I see links more of what happened more? I've been voted down at times and I do sympathize, empathize. Maybe I should avoid some of the whale that tend to do certain things at times. We can all learn to watch out for each other and stick together in case whales don't eat us up too much hehe, but seriously better safe than sorry.

I gave the reference above in reply to your question. It's been lots of lessons for me... In my view, it's best just to steem on focusing, not on the whales, but posting as good of original material as you can, always remembering to post a source of any pic you use even if it's your own (as in my case started the whole thing), and stay focused on making the best of steem; while trying your best to take a breather to reflect whenever you find emotions starting to get the best of you. if I were in your shoes with still a decent rep., that's what I would tell myself.

Posting a source of photos should not be required. I disagree with that. Because source citations may or may not be imitable in a court of law which is where copyright claims are supposed to be handled in. And some photos may be protected under fair use. This topic is rather deep and complex. I can say more. But you have to get back to the root of the laws of the countries you are in. Beyond that, Steemit should not really have laws like that. Steemit is mostly concerned with supply & demand which can be a manner of opinion. Relativity blinds us from objectivity. So, there is no way to be objective about what a quality post is on Steemit if you are blinded by relativity, subjectivity, and we usually are as humans. Citating the source of a photo doesn't terminate a copyright if there were one on a photo. Saying you stole a photo doesn't undo the fact that you stole the photo, assuming you did. When you copy and paste a photo, & include a link of where the photo comes from online, you are not automatically giving yourself the right to share the photo if the owner of the photo doesn't want the photo shared on other websites. But that is only on the assumption that the photo is protected by law which is a debate. My argument is that a lot of things are not protected, not actually copyrighted, patented, protected, & are fair game. But then again, I still would need to say more about the debate.

I'm confused why you posted 3 times here and never replied back to my replies and curious how you found to ask here. I guess you got busy.

I do get pretty busy.

I know the feeling.

Are you a bot too?

Yes. I am a bot made out of oatmeal. As a bot, I also make Russian posts.

How do you make a bot out of oatmeal??? :) Maybe that's what took you so long to reply, being busy and all feeding the masses...

I would not mind having a bot. Some can accuse me of being a bot. I have not made a bot, so, I wouldn't really know how to do it yet. I do stay busy writing a lot of things. Today, I went to http://Chess.com and played some chess there against people in different countries and kept losing. After playing 5 games in an hour, and since I was losing, I decided to hop back on Steemit. I used to play video games all day years ago. Not so much now but am always tempted to. I play basketball, guitar, piano. So, yeah, life can be busy.

I know the feeling of just how busy life can get. I have this tendency to spread myself too thin in too many directions. It's worked this way for many decades now, the idea of having lots of irons in the fire, because when one really starts to heat up and catch fire the others get set aside for a while while most time and efforts go towards the one. Never really was that much into gaming, as I guess I look at life as a game in a way. I also play guitar and several other instruments, as well as what sometimes seems like a million other things... LOL And sadly, those are often the things which get set aside to make room for others, even if music is one of my real passions. Take care, my friend

Agreed, a big balancing act.
