Bells Blur - Just the basics

Two photos in one day! What's gotten into me? This Steemit addiction is growing...

Everyone loves being at the beach on a gorgeous day with the sun warming your skin and the salty breeze cooling you down. There are so many sensations going on while you're there with sounds, smells, tastes, sights and touch. How can you capture all that in a single image?

My answer: Don't.

This simple technique of panning your tripod (or quickly moving your camera horizontally) can take out all but the essential concept of a summers day at the beach. The sand, the water, and the blue sky. Taking out the details can leave the rest to be filled in by the viewers own experiences and imagination.

This is the world famous Bell's Beach in Australia. Although shot like this it could be anywhere :)

Great abstract shot!! I remember to have tried a similar shot some years ago, but mine was not so good :)

Thank you! I've tried it a few times but this was my favourite.

Nice pic mate. I'll follow you!!

Awesome! Thanks!

It could be anywhere but it us such a cool technique and awesome photo!

So simple too ;) It works well with well defined horizontal layers. Or vertical layers like a forest.

Yeah! Amazing idea!

Cool. I will have to give it a try one day. It really makes you focus on the colours! It seems the harder crypto crashes the more posts you put up!

A frozen lake shot might look interesting...I haven't seen one done before.
Chips are down, double down.

I am not sure you would get the contrast that you do here from the colours with the frozen lake and might just be blurry white. I will think on it.

Ooh that's a snazzy painting. Like others here have said, I really do like it a lot

Thanks, Andrew :D

Keiran that is one of the best panning shots I've seen. I love the arc of the beach.

Thank you very much! The wide angle lens helps with the curve 😉

Ah I see. Thanks for the tip. I am very much still a learner.

Looks very cool. I might give this a try on my next travels to the coast :-)

I look forward to seeing the result :)

Honestly, this looks like another painting :-)

Looks like it has brush strokes 😉

This is such a beautiful photo! I love the color combination and painting-like style.

OMG... A sight for sore eyes! I want it on my wall! So smple, yet it has an impact. I could watch it all day! Great job!

What like-it-a-lot-bot said ^

like it a lot bot says a lot of liking it a lot. But I like a lot that you like it a lot, Derot!
