Glass River Rock

This is my entry for today´s #longexposurephotogarphy contest hosted by @juliank.

The rock sticks out above the silky surface of the river, which was surprisingly calm that day. The sunset provided the idyllic backdrop.

Wow this looks like something out of a fairy tale.
This is absoultely amazing.
Great photograph omnimacedonian!

Thanks a lot @avant, it's my regular hidden spot in the park, for when I want to chill away from people :)

I love this image. Very well done.

Thanks for dropping by @momzillanc, I'm glad you like it.

And just a heads-up, cemetery night session coming up :)

Great! Be sure to let me know when you post so I don’t miss it!

Love the long exposure silkiness. Awesome

It's a lightroom mean stack of 8 photos, 10-30 seconds exposure each. Thanks @luxdelux, the river was very calm, it is why it's transparent. Usually it's not that clear :) It's also quite shallow, because in the summer rain is a no-no in the cities through which the river goes.

Ah lightroom stacking. Always thought of experimenting with stacks and long exposures but always get carried away just photographing away random stuff like a madman hehe.

Will definitely need to invest some time into the art of long exposure soon, perhaps even a trip to some awesome waterfalls 👍

Yeah, waterfalls...haven't done any yet :( but thanks for reminding me :)
Anyway, this is actually my first - and only - LR stack so far. I love long-exposure and for some reason I'd always avoid stacking techniques. But they can be pretty cool sometimes :) Here I had a flashlight and I held it focused on different spot on different photo, which is why what whole area in front of the rock is well lit, so LR made my job easier :) Yay stacking! :)

Ah, good idea with the flashlight, that certainly helps. Go stack go! 😎
