Opportunities always come but ones that's what I hear from people almost every day. If you see an opportunity somewhere take it that's what I hear, but the opportunity I see get me into a trouble.
There was an area on my street where everyone was always afraid to go apple picking because of bulldogs, that area has the most beautiful apples but was fenced in and has a dog that used to deprived people not to try, but one afternoon I realized the gate to the compound was open and there was no sign of a dog around, and since it had been a long time I wanted to pick apples I see that moment as an opportunity for me to take a bite of that apple.
I sneaked in to pick, I saw a lot of apples on the ground falling from the tree and I started picking so I picked enough that's fine with me, I was about to go outside before I remember I have to share with my friends too, so I decided to pick more. Just as I was picking more apples, I heard the sound of the gate closed due to the strong wind, I turned around and saw two dogs waking up from the sound of the gate. The moment they noticed me from afar, they started sprinting with a mischievous grin on their face. I was so panicked that I quickly scanned my surroundings for a possible escape route as they were running towards me from the direction of the gate, perhaps I would have tried my luck running out of the gate before they got closer. Within seconds I thought about climbing the trees, but the branches were too high for me and the fence was also too high to climb.
Then I think about running in a different direction because those dogs really mean it, they aren't fooling around me. In a desperate attempt I run towards the fence I thought it was too high to climb but to my surprise I don't know when I jumped over the fence to the other side with just two steps. I stood outside the gate with my heart beating fast. I honestly don't know how I made that jump, all I know is that I can't do it on a normal day.
I checked through myself and unfortunately I don't have more than one apple in my pocket, they all fell while trying to escape. It was a bad day for me but I have to keep it to myself because I was warned and it was placed outside the gate to watch the dog. But what pain me past after the incident is on my way home when I saw my English teacher living in the same street, and she begged for the apple 😱
This is so crazy, she doesn't even know where I got the apple she just wants to eat it. I was so worried about the whole scenario and even ended up not eating a bite or knowing what the apple tasted like. Without a long story she eats it before my eyes, the apple I fought to the death before I could get it outside.
I regret my action that day I wished the gate were closed maybe i won't bother going into the fence, but what I see as an opportunity leads me into a big mess.
