He should have retired before the draft

Hello.

It must have been difficult to make this decision. There are more important things than making everyone else happy. He is choosing his health and family. He obviously LOVES the game but when you are struggling with injuries and passion to play, you must make a choice. He is not weak. This is a true sign of strength. He knows he cannot do this to the best of his ability, mind and body so he chose to do what is best for everyone.
He didn’t retire he quit. There is a difference. Football is a tough game and apparently too tough for Andrew Luck. Yes he was often injured and sat out a whole season two years ago. This is the worst time to quit right before the season. This caught people by surprise. Great quarterbacks do not quit Marino, Elway, Montana, Favre, Brady, Manning never did this. Luck is not great.

He had potential but it was never realized. He quit on all Colts fans. Fans boo because they have passion for their team and expected more. they know someone quitting at age 29 is not right.

In his first ever play in the NFL he threw a TD. To all the "fans" who booed him tonight, shame on you. I understand you're upset, but how do you think he feels? Andrew loves this city, loves this team, loves this game and is passing on half a billion dollars so he can make sure he is around for something far more important than all of the above, his family and well-being. I can only applaud him for having the courage to stick up for himself as I understand how ones mental health can eat away at you.
