Exciting Changes Coming !
Ranked Battle System Overhaul:
Main priorities for 2024 is to revamp the ranked battle system. Scheduled to roll out at the end of the current ranked play season, these changes are set to transform the way you engage with Splinterlands. The primary objectives include simplifying gameplay mechanics, ensuring that acquiring higher-level cards is always rewarding, and fostering fairer matchmaking.
_Tip: Experiment with different card combinations to adapt to the evolving meta and complete your collection _
Flat Rating System:
Say goodbye to the ELO system! They're replacing it with a flat rating system to mitigate the impact of luck on gameplay. With this change, we will now gain or lose a consistent number of rating points with each match, regardless of their opponent's rating. Win streak bonuses will still apply, encouraging players to strive for continuous improvemen
Tip: Focus on refining your strategy and decision-making skills, focus on your favorite summoner first (my favorite but expensive...)
Updated Energy Costs, League Ratings, & Resets:
In addition to the ranked battle system overhaul, they're making adjustments to energy costs, league rating ranges, and end-of-season resets. Energy costs will now increase within each league tier, providing a more balanced experience as players progress. Novice and Bronze league ranges have been fine-tuned to ensure a smoother transition for new players, setting them up for success from the get-go.
Tip: Utilize energy efficiently by strategizing your battles and maximizing your rewards in higher leagues (modern if you can but often more challenging)
Future Changes:
Updates lined up for the near future... Keep an eye out for a revamped reward system, one-click set rentals to ease new players into the game, and an enhanced onboarding experience designed to immerse you in the world of Splinterlands from day one.
