My first steps in Splinterlands

Hello Splinter fans and all those who want to become one!

In this article I report summarily about my first Steps in Splinterlands Splinterlands so far. Maybe one or the other will find himself here again 😊

About 4 weeks ago I started playing Splinterlands. A friend told me that he had also just started playing this game. He explained to me that it's roughly a card game where two players each set up their own card team to compete against each other.

Before that, I never heard of blockchain games or the Hive Engine. But since I had played the mobile card game "Rage of Bahamut" a few years ago (which maybe one or the other here knows) and already had some experience with cryptocurrencies, I wanted to know more about it. Besides, I like card games like that. After all, you grow up playing them as a kid. Yu-Gi-OH, Pokemon, Magic, who doesn't know it?

Such games trigger a certain attraction in me. I can't really describe it, but I think it has to do with the fact that you always want better cards and you want to compete with the still better players.

At the very beginning, everything was very slow. I hardly made any progress. I realized that it would take a lot of time or a lot of money, or both, to get there faster. Also, everything about the Hive Engine was new and quite confusing to me.At this point I would like to thank marcuswahl and marianaemilia, who answered all my questions about Splinterlands.

At first I invested some money, bought some packs and was lucky to draw some epic cards and a legendary. Later, however, I found out that I would have been better off investing the money in individual cards. But in the end you are always smarter.

Then I got delegated a few more cards through an acquaintance (another thanks to khazrakh at this point). That gave me another push forward in Bronze 1 with about 10,000 power.

So far I've been able to get good prices in various tournaments and I'm in good spirits that things will get even better in the future. I try to participate in as many Bronze and Novice tournaments as possible to get the most out of them.

I plan to spend a little more money to keep my goal in the top 20 of the Bronze Leaderboard. To do this, I'm going to take a few trons that I've had sitting around on my wallet for a few years. Nevertheless, I want to try to invest as little as possible and achieve as much as possible with what I have invested.

I'll show you exactly how I plan to do that.

So much for my first steps here in Splinterlands and a short outlook into the future.

Have a nice day!
