The Laws That Change The World

This should be information that all people in the United States should know. This is the type of information that overturns the illusions that one skin color is better than any other that many seem to be under. What really makes this hit the spot for me is the woman who found this information and didn't try to put it back under a rock was a (so called) white woman.

It is a fascinating book on race in America that begins with an exploration of the moment in time when "white people," as a separate and distinct group of humanity, were invented through legislation and the enactment of laws. Dr. Battalora is an anti-racist writer, attorney and professor of sociology, anthropology, and criminal justice at Saint Xavier University in Chicago.
