It is such a good feeling when you are accepted as one of the locals. And an honour. Many foreigners are never quite accepted where they chose to live because they congregate in ex-pat communities and don't go out into the local population and never really understand the local culture. Kudos for taking that step outside your comfort zone.

It really is. And yeah, I know a lot of foreigners as well who keep to their own insular bubble. In many ways, they're missing out! Thanks for the nice comment!
