Another stunning island in North Sumatra: Berhala Island.
This North Sumatra marine tourism destination is located in Serdang Bedagai district, precisely on the border between Malaysia and Indonesia.
As the outermost island of Indonesia, Berhala Island is guarded by Marines who are tasked with monitoring and supervising around the location and waters of the berhala island.
To enter, you must ask permission first from the officer on duty. Although opened to tourists, the island is quite strict about the rules. Arrivals must first permit and submit all forms of sharp weapons and liquor brought.
Berhala Island is quite unique, as seen from its name, it has given its own impression. The area of the island ranges from 2.5 hectares.

Great pictures @alfir89. Berhala island looks fantastic. How do you go there? From where by boat?
Resteemed and upvoted
went there by boat from Serdang Badagai, North Sumatra. 4 hours of travel by fishing boats in Serdang Beragai. because there is no special transfortation there. so you have to use a fishing boat. When you comehere ?
I´m from Thailand and looking always for non touristic places. That´s why I asked. But I can´t say when I can come.
