Scrolling through my Facebook feed I came across guys called in bailing. This is a guy who seems to be living the crypto dream. A normal guy who spent his time grinding his was through his engineering degree and a normal everyday job as a data analyst.
At this very moment in time, the man has a crypto portfolio of over 4 million dollars. Something that we would all like to have.
How did he do it? ICOS. leveraging his skills as a data analyst Ian spends his time hunting down the next ICO he is going to invest in. We have heard the stories of people making their money on bitcoin already but more and more now I seem to hear about people trying to get one step ahead of the curve and win big on the ICOs. Some have and some haven't, the ICO game is a risky one to play.
After researching this guy the most interesting thing is that he seems to share this information with the public. On his website, Ian has a whole online spreadsheet that he updates every few days with his statistical ananlysis of an ICO. On this, he shows you what he has invested in.
The world of ICOs in my mine was always a risky place. The Rumours of 80% fail rates of ICOs were always in my mind until of late. After discovering this guy I wonder if its worth a gamble? who knows? The gamble has seemed to pay off for these guys....why would it not work for me? With a never-ending stream of ICOs coming out choosing the right ones to invest in would seem like a difficult task without crunching the numbers. But is investing in a method that others have used a good idea? It's hard to know.
On the flip side with this neverending supply of ICOs that are flooding the market, they all have one thing in common. They all accept the likes of Bitcoin or ETH. If 100 ICOs come out and they all raise 50million and they all accept ETH. Is it a better investment to just invest in ETH and hold onto it for the long-term?
Investing on crypto exchanges with limited funds is a difficult game, you want to be proactive and chop and change your investments to get the best yield for yourself. as time goes on you get frustrated as you see that you would have made more money sitting and holding, you look for more cryptos to throw your money at, but everything seems to go up and down in unison so, in the end, it seems like it didn't really matter which one you chose. It's a game that a lot of us are playing but is it the right game to be in to try and make a big buck? should we be in the ICO space.....?
