IGBO BUSINESSMAN.
An Igbo man walked into a bank in new york city and asked for loan, he told the loan officer that he is going to Nigeria on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5000. The bank officer told him that the bank will need some form of security for the loan. So he handed over the keys and the documents of his new Ferrari car, parked in front of the bank. He produced the title, and everything was checked out. The loan officer agreed to accept the car as collateral for the loan. The bank's president and his officers all enjoyed a good laugh at the Igbo man for using a $250,000 Ferrari car as collateral against a $5000 loan. An employee of the bank then drove the Ferrari into the bank's underground garage and parked it there. Two weeks latter, the Igbo man returned, paid the $5000 and the interest, which came out to $15.41. The loan officer said to him, ''sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out nicely but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found out that you're a multi-millionaire. What puzzled us is, why would you bother to borrow "$5000"? The Igbo man replied: "where else in New York city can i park my car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when i return?"
