TEKHNIK MEMBACA PUISI | TECHNIQUE OF READING POETRY

in #indonesia6 years ago

Hai, Steemian!
Assalamualaikum.

TECHNIQUE OF READING POETRY

Hi, Steemian!
Assalamualaikum.

This time I will try to share tips on how to read poetry. Well, a few years back the more racing events that raise Read Poetry as one item of the race. However, in my view, we are not multiplying the readers of good poetry, on the contrary decreasing the percentage of good poet readers in Aceh in particular.

In my previous post, I once said that schools are responsible for this. Because of the many items of poetry reading competitions are held to observe as well as a special learning place for the students. And school should be a scourge for this.

Okay, here are some tips for Steemian who want to follow the race or just as a learning at home and at school.

  1. Choose a poem that, according to Steemian, is easy and convenient to read. Do not force the will to pursue something by choosing a poem that is difficult even make Steemian uncomfortable reading it.

  2. Surges the poem first before being read in public. Find the plot where you have to spend, where you should raise, and where you should lower your emotionality, characterize the poem, find the atmosphere in the poem story by imagining if you are involved in the story line of poetry.

  3. Warm up before reading. Can be with a light sport movement only. This is also the right time while imagining how the techniques we will show when reading poetry because sometimes in reading poetry required elements or dramatic movement (depending on the contents of the poem).

  4. Do vocal exercises, can by shouting vowel letters a-i-u-e-o start in a low voice until then sounds that sound big. Better practice with a friend who can position him as a spectator or a jury to train the Articulation (Clarity of Sound) and Intonation (High-Low Sound) you.

  5. Take a break, calm the mind, and repeat again imagining the flow and atmosphere in the poem to be read.

  6. Stand up straight with both hands holding the script of the poem. The left hand holds the top left of the manuscript, and the right hand holds the lower right side of the script. Do not read poetry without a script, because it has entered into the Poetry Declamation Technique and not to cover the face of the script because it will affect especially when the race.

  7. Find a comfortable body position and refresh mind. After that just can focus for the appreciation of poetry.

  8. Silence while reading, memorizing and imagining the atmosphere of the hook of the poem.

  9. Look in the direction of the Audience or if during the race in the direction of the Jury.

  10. Read the title and work of poetry writers by dividing the gaze of the eyes and body into three directions evenly. Be naturally not a motionless movement like a robot by nailing the body. Make sure from now on the articulation or clarity of your voice can be heard by the audience / jury.

  11. Shut up while looking back at the poetry script to memorize the flow and atmosphere in the first verse of poetry while refreshing your memory and mind, but not too long, just 5 seconds.

  12. Read poetry by dividing the direction of the views in three directions evenly. Use a dramatic movement but do not overdo it and that too if it requires the reader to wear it depending on where the appropriate sentence in the script of poetry.

  13. Perform concept number 9-12 repeatedly until the last stanza. Make sure your view does not lose focus, and your vocals are clear.

  14. Read with regular tempo and pause. Do not be too fast and do not be too slow. Pause between title and work with first stanza of 5 seconds. Pause between 3-4 seconds. Pause the last stanza with 5 sec cover.

  15. Avoid emotional overflow or overload when reading poetry.

  16. When the last stanza is finished, do not close with greetings. Leave the pause for 5 seconds and still in appreciation of poetry.

  17. Close with greetings and refresh all your mind and body.

  18. Do this step regularly and comfortably.

Well, those are some tips from me. Why am I using a concept like this? Because in judging read ordinary poetry using assessment items, vocals, gestikulasi, appreciation / facial expression, tempo, and totality. Usually every student I read poetry managed to become champion in every race by using this concept. In my community I have applied and succeeded.

Finally, good luck and good luck!

Pay It Forward Curation Contest.
Very good posting on poetry delivery and as well as public speaking in general. It would be nice to see more events like this. Where I am at poetry has become something someone does to clear their thoughts rather than share. As you may know @cicisaja featured you in this weeks

Oh, thank you! :)
