History of Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh is the northern state, which is not less than heaven. Not only the highest peak in the state, but there are many places here for mountaineering. The name of this state is from the "residence of ice".
History of Himachal Pradesh is of Indus Valley Civilization. People from the communities like Koyi, Hali, Tagi, Dhogri, Dasa, Khasa, Kinnar and Kirat were living in this area.
In the Vedic period, a small republic, known as the district, was settled here, which was later captured by the Gupta Empire. After the long reign of King Harishchandra, this region was divided into smaller parts under the leadership of the warlords and Rajputs. This empire received large scale independence and many times the Delhi Sultanate also attacked this empire.
In the beginning of the 10th century Mahmud Ghajnavi captured Kangra. Timur and Sikandar Lodi were also occupying the lower hill region of the state and they had captured a kilo of many warfare.
Following the independence, the states of Himachal Pradesh's Chief Commissioner were also announced. On April 15, 1948, due to the integration of 28 small provincial states, they were included in the western Himalayan states. Those who came to be known as Shimla hill state and four Punjab Southern hill state.
In 1948 these states were unified under under section 3 and 4. On 1 April 1954, Bilaspur was included in Himachal Pradesh under Himachal Pradesh and Bilaspur (New State) Act, 1954.
On January 26, 1951, the Constitution of India came into effect and Himachal Pradesh Part C became the state after the lieutenant governor was appointed. In 1952 assembly elections were organized. After this, on 1 November 1956 Himachal Pradesh Union Territory was formed.
Under the Punjab Reconstruction Act, 1966, some parts of the state of Punjab such as Shimla, Kangra, Kulu and Spiti districts, Nalagarh tehsil of Ambala district, Lohra amb and Unakungo Circle, Santokhgarg Kanungo Circle and parts of Hoshiarpur district, Dhar Kalan Pathankot tehsil of Gurdaspur district of Kanungo Circle was merged with Himachal Pradesh.
On December 18, 1970, the Parliament released the Himachal Pradesh Act and it was officially started on January 25, 1971. Himachal Pradesh had become the 18th state of the Indian Union after Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar became the first Chief Minister. Shimla is the capital of the state of Himachal Pradesh.
Language of Himachal Pradesh
The people of Himachal Pradesh are multilingual and communicate in many languages. Official state language of Himachal Pradesh is Hindi. Himachal Pradesh is the second most popular language guarding. Apart from this, Punjabi, Dongri, Kangri and Kinnauri languages are also used in the state.
Himachal Pradesh Tourism Sector
Tourism sector has been an important contributor to the economic development of the people. This hill state attracts millions of tourists from all over the world, along with the Himalayan landscape. Hill stations like Shimla, Manali, Dalhousie, Chamba, Dharamsala and Kullu are quite famous among domestic and foreign tourists.
On the basis of Hindu belief, it is also called the land of Gods, it is believed that Lord Shiva believed Himalaya as his home and most of the state was surrounded by the Himalayas. In modern literature, Uttarakhand has also been called the land of Gods. Visitors entering the state of Himachal Pradesh from Punjab state are also seen on the way, "Welcome to the Land of Gods", on the way.
At the same time many shrines in the state like Chamunda Devi Temple, Naina Devi Temple, Vajreshwari Devi Temple, Bhimkali Temple, Jwalji Temple, Chintapurna, Baijnath Temple, Power Mahadev, Manu Temple, Renuka Lake and Juku Temple are located in the state. Because of its mention in ancient religious texts, the state is also known as "Godland".
State adventure tourism activities such as ice skating, birling in Shimla and paragliding in the Solang valley, skiing in Manali, rafting in Kullu, boating in Bilaspur and also for trekking and horseback riding in various parts of the state.
The Spiti Valley in Lahoul is situated at an altitude of 3000 meters and is an important destination for adventure tourists. There is also Asia's oldest Buddhist monastery in the area.
Himachal Pradesh is also known for film shooting. Roja, Hina, Jab We Met, Veer-Zara, This is a youth, movies such as Civil and Highway have been shot in Himachal Pradesh.
From October 24 to October 31, 2015 Himachal Pradesh hosted the first Paragliding World Cup in India. Bir Billing is the hub of air play in Himachal and is one of the best places to paragliding.
Culture of Himachal Pradesh

Himachal is known primarily for handicrafts. Carpets, leather work, shawls, kangra paintings, chamburamal, metal items, wooden workmanship and painting are the main examples of handicrafts. The demand for Pashmina Shaw of Himachal Pradesh remains not only in Himachal Pradesh but also throughout the country.
Himachali hats are known mainly for workmanship. Local music and dance are known as cultural identities of the state. Through the dance and music, at the local festival and on special occasions, they pray to God.
Apart from Melo and Mahotsav, many other festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm here. Melo is organized at different places in the area.

Himachal Pradesh's capital Shimla is very popular among tourists. Kalka-Shimla Railway is a Mountain Railway, which is the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Shimla is a famous skiing attraction in India.
Other popular hill stations include Manali and Kasauli, Dalai Lama's house is known for Dharamsala, Tibetan monasteries and Buddhist temples. Many trekking campaigns also start here. There is a large and open road in Shimla which is the center for the cultural activities of Shimla.
