I've had to read some really dry and tiresome technology stuff for work, lately. I've found the best way to get through it is to read it, in my head, like it's all a conspiracy! I'm not talking Alex Jones style. I mean bad History Channel or 1980's mystery show, style. So that's the crux of my idea.
Read random Wikipedia articles or RFC's (are they copyrighted?) or any other boring piece of data as a conspiracy. In fact, let's expand it to reading them in randomly dramatic voices that have nothing to do with what they say.
I'm pretty sure I am no good at dramatic voice work. I've never done any and don't intend to. Instead, why not get people that are into that sort of thing to use the podcast as a way to get their name out there?
I'd pay a couple of people to do the voice work to get things started off (fiverr?) and then hope it takes off to the point where people will volunteer their time. There'd be a Patreon account that I could share the profits off of for each voice actor/actress, too!
What do you guys think? Would you listen?
