A year ago I was 100 articles shy of reaching my goal of 300 published articles of mine on my HubPages channel. Last September I only needed 50 articles to reach that same milestone.
It took me two years to go from having 100 articles published on my HubPages channel to having 200 articles published there. It only took me one year from having 200 articles published on my HubPages channel to having 300 articles published there.
I don't know how I did it, but I did it. 😁 HubPages has been good to me so far. However, I cannot quite say the same about Google.
Google has been a thorn in my side lately. Many of you can probably understand what I mean, because a number of you opened up an account here on the PEAKD writing platform to get away from the injustices of Google. Censorship is their middle name.
Google looks for every reason they can find to disable the advertisements in your articles on HubPages, even when their reason for doing so is clearly unfounded. Whenever they disable advertisements in an article of yours on that same writing platform, you don't get paid commission for that same article.
Some of you may be wondering why I am making such a big deal about having published my 300th article on HubPages. Well, it's an important milestone to me. When I had reached the 200th article goal on my HubPages account, I had thought that I was going to receive an accolade for it from HubPages. Well, I didn't.
HubPages has a policy that once you've reached a hundred articles on your HubPages channel, you have to reach the 300-article goal before you can get your next accolade. In this case, I received an accolade for having published my 300th article on HubPages and an additional accolade for having 300 articles simultaneously featured on HubPages.
How can I not feel good about it? It could explain why I haven't been posting as many articles here on my PEAKD channel as I should be doing so. Of course, I have some interesting articles in the works here on my PEAKD channel in case you're wondering, so stay tuned.
Some of you may be wondering where I am going from here. There was this one old article on the HubPages writing platform that indicated that I would be eligible for my next accolade after I have 500 articles published on my HubPages channel.
I can frankly say that I really need to put more time into getting my most recent science-fiction novel published. A couple of days ago, I sent a query letter to a traditional publishing house out in California that helps authors get their first book published at no cost to them supposedly.
I will not be redundant about anything I may have stated in previous articles of mine about reaching a new milestone on my HubPages channel. However, I will entertain you with a song that I have embedded below.
A Song Titled "Looks Like We've Made It" By Barry Manilow
It's really a song about loving relationships. However, it can be a song about any milestone that someone has reached in their life. It just felt right for this occasion.
Anyhow, for now, I need to get back to my life and my writing. Feel free to comment below.
