Ritesh Agarwal was born on 16 November 1993, Bissam Cuttack Odisha. He was from a middle-class Marwari family. In his family, mother, father and tin brother are bad people. Ritesh completed his studies with Sacred Heart School which is situated in Rayagada Odisha. After completing his Intermediate studies, Riteish enrolled in Indian School of Business and Finance, Delhi to complete his studies. However, to start his business, he did not complete his further studies and left the college in half. Ritesh was very motivated by Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerburg from a very young age. How the birth of OYO rooms

Ritesh was very fond of moving to a new place. They got a lot of opportunity to move around and they have rotated many places in the world. And while traveling to Riteish, many issues related to the arrangement of accommodation had to be faced. As if he had to spend a lot of money in the place of waste and sometimes found a very good place in less money. Many such experiences inspired Ritesh and he decided that he would start his own online booking booking community, so that the customers get the place to live with good grace. At the age of 18, Ritesh gave Oreg Stays Pvt. Ltd. started. Oravel is a start-up platform that creates a list of hotels that are available in every place and their booking puts people's budget into a price. But after a few days, Ritesh realized that only the rooms are given to the people in half the value, but they can not fulfill the customer's pleasure by ignoring them. Therefore, in the year 2013, Ritesh changed the name of Oreg Stays to OYO Rooms, in which with low cost comfortable rooms, the customer is taken care of every kind of happiness and breakfast is also offered for free.

Ritesh Agarwal's name comes in the Forbes List "30 under 30" in consumer tech sector. He has also received many awards like "Top 50 entrepreneurs in 2013 by TATA First Dot Powered by NEN Awards", "8 Hotest Teenage Startup Founders in the World by Business Insider", "TiE-Lumis Entrepreneurial Excellence Award in 2014", "Business World Young Entrepreneur Award in 2015".

His company needed financial support only when he came to know about 20 under 20 Thiel Fellowship which started in 2013 for two years, which was started by Paypal's Founder Peter Thiel. With this fellowship, 20 entrepreneurs under the age of 20 are selected and given the amount of $ 100,000. Ritesh was very happy to know about this fellowship and he applied for it. Riteish was selected in Fellowship. And Ritesh Thiel was the first person in India to join the list of Fellowships. With the help of this money amount, Riteish has given his OYO rooms a very high standard.

After that Riteish was given a lot of money by the Venture Company, and he helped him financially. Firstly the Venture Nursery assisted by funding, then Lightspeed Ventures, Sequoia and many Ventures helped. SoftBank gave $ 100 million in funding to OYO Rooms in July 2015. After launching OYO Rooms from Gurgaon, this company was launched in 4,000 hotels 160 cities across India and the number is increasing. Recently this company has been launched in Malaysia.
