Found this curious-looking fungi in my back yard area. I think it is Peziza Badia, but I could be wrong.
These are pretty big.
Definite cup-like structure.
Feels like a dehydrated apricot.
Looks like a fortune cookie.

Looks like those ear mushrooms (Auricularia auricula-judae). But those grow on trees.
This is wacky! I've never seen this shape before. It is surrounding a mulberry sapling but not on the actual tree.
